I run a music website with one of my best friends in Chicago where we write and review music in all of its forms – live music reviews and previews, album and singles reviews, album previews, essays and opinions on music videos. We started this site because we were working on another site solely based on music photography with little emphasis on the review, with a few other people, and it started to just become boring. That and the other partner was a complete jack-hole. Either way, we flipped out image, focused on more content rather than just live concert reviews. I still go out and shot shows, and it’s still churning its way back in Chicago.
I’m still looking out for shows to cover in Milano, so when I saw A Place to Bury Strangers was headed to town, I immediately jumped on the opportunity to cover the set and interview the band. I have hung out with the band back in 2010 and they are super cool guys, very welcoming. My girlfriend got involved as my go-to writer, so she provided the words, and I provided the photos.
