V8 and Shortrock are a hip-hop duo that released an album together called All-Terrain Bathroom Tiles. V8 and I had met at previous shows in the hip-hop scene, and he’d asked me to paint live at one of their parties. Eventually, once the album was produced and under way, they had asked me to design the album.
I set up a photo shoot with a model friend and make-up artist, and completed all of the photography in one night. We went through and shot all the photos in my bathtub, getting that sky blue tile, and grabbed a whole mess of wires from my prop room.
Once the photos were shot, we decided on what kind of packaging was going to be used and I laid out all the track-listing and logos. The final product is what you see here.
