I’m from Chicago and I love good house music. My friends and I started getting into house music when I was in my mid-teens while I was in High School. A little late with the time, but early for our age, because of our deep exploratory traits when it came to music. What started as a love for the tracks produced by Green Velvet, Derrick Carter and Paul Johnson, soon got mixed up and turned over into a love for deep house, juke, tech house, booty house, ghetto house, disco house, hardcore house, etc. The list goes on and on, and we didn’t discriminate.
One of the house sub-genres that has stuck, and has been a consistent love between my childhood best friend and I, is Booty House. DJ Funk, DJ Assault, and Boolumaster on 92.3 at 5pm.
Over the past few years I’ve been wanting to show some of the most re-knowned Booty House anthems into designs and illustrations. These might not be for everyone, but that’s ok. You can turn back now.
